This course is for anyone who wants to build a strong foundation of faith, clear doubts, and protect themselves from misconceptions.

What Are Islamic Beliefs and Why Are They Important?

Islamic beliefs, known as Aqeedah, are the core beliefs that every Muslim must hold. They are the foundation of our faith. Aqeedah comes from the Arabic word "Aqada" which means to tie, to fasten, to hold firmly. These are the beliefs that tie our hearts to Allah.

The six pillars of Iman (faith) are:

  • Belief in Allah

  • Belief in His angels

  • Belief in His books

  • Belief in His messengers

  • Belief in the Last Day

  • Belief in divine decree (Qadr), both good and bad

Allah says in the Quran:

"The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and so have the believers. All of them have believed in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers." (Quran, 2:285)

Learning Aqeedah is essential because:

  • It is the foundation of your faith

  • It protects you from wrong beliefs and misconceptions

  • It increases your certainty and trust in Allah

  • It helps you understand why you believe what you believe

  • It strengthens your relationship with Allah
